I experience the making of art as a language where visual narratives tell a story, capture a feeling, or an idea. As a visual translator, I’m often interpreting the stories of others.
As an Iranian-American artist, I'm inspired by my connection to nature, and creating imagery of strong female archetypes. Championing women is a priority in my art because I’ve been inspired by the stories of strong women throughout my life, and want to amplify their voices.
My background as a graphic designer influences my art through the integration of typography, photography and composition. I primarily work in the medium of acrylic and collage in combination. What I love about collage is the sense of history within the materials. That the papers have traveled and changed hands, interpreted into new stories.
I am self-represented and take on commissions on behalf of my patrons. I also work with interior designers, architects and their clients to create custom personalized art for families and their homes.
